ABOUT THE BCC

During the pandemic, we recognized that like us, small businesses and artists were hit the hardest by the stop gap. There were very limited opportunities for these creatives to connect with their audience and earn money for their families. We saw the need for a COVID-Safe marketplace to provide relief for the brands. Black Creatives + Culture was created to bring back the joy and economic opportunities to these small businesses. Now in its third year, THE BCC has featured 150+ Black and POC creatives and counting.

WE ARE THE CULTURE.

As Brooklyn natives and independent creatives themselves, owners Michelle Cadore, Face and Tyler Jordan understand firsthand how difficult it is for creatives of color to gain visibility for their work and the importance of building community.

Through the Black Creatives + Culture MKT, the trio expanded upon their mission of their City Point-based boutique “DA SPOT” by creating more space and economic opportunities for Black and POC creatives to thrive.
